Let's talk about something akward.
Acne!
Throughout high school I consistently had problems with acne. It was a constant cat and mouse game finding new treatments before the last lost effect. To this day I have small problems. Especially with wearing a helmet sweating while riding all day. You guys have something that works? For me, I shower with benzoyl peroxide 10% and put on Clidomycin phosphate before bed each night. But I still have problems. What do you guys do?
Oh, and, if anyone has tried Proactive, please give your opinions. I tried it once and it just made my skin worse if anything. It was terrible. Everyone I've talked to hates the stuff. Is Proactive one big lie?

Its not awkward man, my 12 year old has it, and I get it sometimes, and I'm 45!!! I don't really have an answer but don't give up, there has to be a good fix besides just washing your face. good luck man.

Proactive isn't bad if you use it the way they tell you to. Most acne med will dry your face out and cause you to brake out a little at first. I had acne bad in highschool as well and the dermatologist gave me a few different things before we finally got something that worked.

exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate! You have to get the wash with the little scrubbies and wear a bandanna to absorb sweat so the dirt does not become trapped and rubbed into your pores. I know this sounds retarted but if you do not like wearing a bandanna put some antipersperant on the place where you break out. It works wonders! You can also wash your face in hibiclens soap, which can be found at any local drug store.
If you require a prescription get the doc to prescribe you lavoceln 8%. I have to use it on rare occasions and it is fast and effective.
