Stupid things you might notice on the internet
I was bored and checking out stuff on the KLX250 family of bike and I had already seen this video a few times but just noticed something on the super fast Bikeland KLX330SM.
The go fast red radiators hoses are connected wrong from the water pump to the radiator and the cylinder???????????
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F1eecDc4Bw#t=22
The lower hose at the water pump is designed to go from the pump to the cylinder and the upper hose on the pump goes from the pump to the radiator.
The correct way!
The wrong way?????????

Oh so wrong.... Probably would work fine since your not going 10mph all day. On second thought, that probably runs the radiator under higher pressure, may make the seals leak.
Look a clean bike!

Well spotted tkm433. That's genius investigation skills.
This is hilarious that Bikeland could make such a silly mistake!
This happened to me, the so called trained Kawasaki mechanics at my dealership fitted my silicon hoses nearly 2 years ago & did it wrong. It took me over 3 months to work out that my hot leg & lack of water flow was because the f#cking idiots got it wrong. If it hadn't been parked next to another klx with obviously correctly fitted hoses on display, it might still be running hot today!!!
It never crossed my mind that this could happen anywhere else in the world, especially from properly trained western mechanics.

Silicone hoses may look pretty and be acceptable for turbo applications, but IMHO regular rubber hoses (Gates-brand) are much cheaper, have tougher wall construction, and tend to give you a bit more visible warning of impending failure (if you're stupid enough to leave them on that long!) Always make sure the snazzy aftermarket hose you buy is rated (temperature, pressure, chemical, etc.) for the application....

...and although this is a blatant advertisement for Gates hose, it shows you how silicone hoses allow permeation. I've never been a fan of silicone hoses. When they "let go," they tend to just burst. The rubber kind will give you visual cues of pending failure (if you pay attention.)
