KLX250 with Info Thought this was a nice backlit shot of the bike. I did the text in Photoshop. I've added severals mods since then, Clarke tank, 13/45 sprocket combo and just have removed all the smog stuff under the tank.

The Moose guards and covers keep the hands pretty safe, and gave me a place to mount the smaller front turn signals. The GPS, so far, has not been damaged in the more than a few times I have gotten off.

Inside of the Moose guards showing the wiring for the blinkers. I ran the two wires through some black plastic tubing and used pull ties to hold them. You can also see that I have dropped the forks about ¾" to compensate for the 1½" dog bones in the back so I could get my leg over the bike.

This Garmin 2610 is the way to go IMHO. No moving parts to go bad. It's on a RAM mount which is mounted to the 1½" Tusk risers I installed. It's wired into the power on the bike. I trust this unit to bring me back out of the woods. Some of the trails down here are not on maps. I also always let my wife know about where I'll be.

I plan on getting a pair of the folding mirrors so I don't have these catching branches in the woods.

The tail end of the KLX. I mounted the streamlined blinkers in tight protected by the handle on the rack. The Moose Tailbag is mounted to the rack with 'Adel' clamps. The HMF has a Quiet Core in it. Still right loud. I carry the Fuji S9000 in the bag also along with the little Kel-Tec for a little self-assurance.

In the southern part of Georgia we have about as much sand at they do in Florida which is only about a mile south of here. I have a Gutts Racing seat with supposidly softer foam. My butt still hurts on long rides. The Clarke 2.7 gal. tank lets me go long enough.

I had parked and walked back a good ways to take this picture. As I walked back to the bike I saw something running into the woods just before the curve. It was a Coyote. Lots of them have made their way into Georgia and Florida.

Something caught my eye as I passed. I thought it was a tan work glove. I turned around and took a look. It wasn't a glove.

I know that everything has to eat, but this is sad. The fawn was probably only a couple of weeks old. The powerful jaws of the Coyote that I saw run from here did this in short order.

Just another shot of the fawn to show reference to it's size. I'm going to put on a set of Kenda Trailmaster II's pretty shortly. They should be in next week.

This is on the banks of the Withlacoochee River which is the state line between Georgia and Florida. Pretty quiet here now, but I know there are bear and coyote in here. I take an almost frozen water bottle that I wrap in a wet towel in the tail bag. It's still cold after several hours riding. The bike has a 13/45 sprocket combo. Second gear really has some grunt.
