Default Laid her down f##k !!!!

7/25 i wrecked the bike... it was a sad day

I whent into a blind corner going around 35-40 and ran right into a thick patch of gravel, that other cars had so kindly pushed into the middle of my lane of traffic. All in all im ook.

Injuries to Myself
Some road rash
Dislocated Shoulder
Partially torn Bicep
Severe soft tissue damage along collar bone

Injuries to bike
Right side fairings are trashed
Gas tank looks like it was hit with a gravel machine gun
Muffler scratched up
Right turn signal smashed off
Brake lever smashed off
Right mirror smashed up along with the windscreen
And my helmet looks like it had a run in with a DA sander

i plan on doing most of the repairs myself after jumping some hoops but my main concern is the forks... the frame had some minor rash on it but nothing that i would think could cause issues. What does it take to total the forks on the 6r??? I love the bike and a buddy of mine thinks its unsafe to ride because the forks could be bent and i have no way of knowing. I WAS able to ride the bike to my garage after the accident and i didnt feel any unusual wobbles.

sorry to hear about your crash...if you are going to do most of the work yourself I would just bring in the forks for an inspection...

I hate falling down. Good to hear that you are ok.
The initial pics show a low side and no damage or collision. I would inspect the seals for leaks, but the forks look to be in good shape in the pic.

Wow... the right side of your bike looks like the left side of mine. Same thing happened to me. Your forks don't look like they took any impact damage. I think you'll be okay.

Thats too bad man. At least the damage to you (and the bike) looks cosmetic.
