Default cooling fan start up

have an '07 zzr600 and i notice when i come to a stop my temp builds up, so when i got home i parked it but left it running to look and see if the fan was moving and it wasn't. and the heat steadily rose to almost 200 F. the fan never came on and after i turned it off the heat just kept building. i thought the cooling system would be similar to my friends R6 which after is shut off the fan keeps blowing for about 90 sec. or so to dissipate the build up of heat due to the coolant not circulating after shut off. does anyone know any thing about this? thanks.

My fandoesn't come on until somewhere north of 215 F ( don't know the exact temp when it comes on but somewhere around there) and if it does get that hot and comes on it will continue to operate after shutting off the bike.

The fan will kick on after shut down if the temp reaches 225 or so, mine does all of the time in the summer.
