so i just bought an 04 636 and i was wondering at what temperature the cooling fan kicks on. i saw temps up to 220 and i never saw/heard it turn on. thanks for any help

 

hmm 220 it should of came on. my 07 fan comes on at 210 so did my 05 zx10.

 

thats what i was thinking. it came on just over 200 on my older gixxer. think it would be easier to just install a toggle switch or find out whats actually wrong with it?

 

i would trouble shoot it first. start with the fan motor. then go from there

well damn. i get kinda scared pushing it past 220. maybe i should just wait a few more degrees and see if it comes on. i think ill try that and just stop at 230 if it gets there

 

My 03 kicks in at 214. 220 plus seems awefully high. Even my 214 seems high. Make sure you have enough coolant and test your fan or fan switch. You can make your bike run cooler by using Redline Water Wetter in the coolant. Here in Texas, the bikes get VERY HOT!
