The only real complaint I have on my 2006 is it is really cold natured. Next time Im going fuel injected. Other than that, I really like mine. Easy to ride, plenty of power when you need it too. If I am getting on it, it will power wheelie in 1st and2nd no problem. I am going to get a throttle rocker though, as my hand and wrist kill me very quickly. I do have to say, for a 600cc I am very shocked at the power output of this thing. I have only put about 60-80 miles on it though, the previous owner had 2950 on it when I bought it and he never had a problem. Im 6' and 240 and it fits me pretty well. Another issue is I really wish it had a gas gauge, but I check often and will be keeping track of miles per tank, so Im not too worried about it. Top speed I dont know, but today I had it to 140 before I shut it down, thats fast enough for me. I dont think you will be dissapointed, have fun!

Check this out! I think this will tell you what you want to know. I've had mine to 160 a few weeks ago. That's what my speedo said, but there is speedometer error, so I'm sure it wasn't a REAL 160. But, it damn-sure felt like it!
It was still pulling and had 2,00 rpm's left. Like 500 said, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

Yeah not only is the speedo off on bikes, the tach is too, I was in an R6 forum and this squid had to be told by like 423539487 people about himself...lol trying to say a stock 600cc bike is hittin 180...

...quarter times/tops speed/whp, I know my bike( K7GSX-R600) it goes something like low 11s high 10s with a decent rider(the crazies can get low 10s high 9s), tops out 155-160(even though itll indicate 195 hahahahaha), and dynos 95-105hp to the wheel.

ZZR 600s I'd imagine would hit 11s all day(crazies prolly hittin mid to low 10s)with a top speed around 145-155 and I have seen dyno charts from 70-85 hp....

lol yeah I know some of this is ricer math so don't hate...just my .02

hmm, that seems fast.
on the launch for a track day, I cannot hit 180mph.
I am lucky to hit the 150 range before the brake markers ( the 7 )
have a tough time thinking that a 6 is at 180
