Default 05' ZZR 1200

Just looking at this site for the first time and have noticed very few notes on the ZZR 1200....I have an 05' and sport D&D pipes and carb tweeks, bar end cruise control and speedscreen shield. This bike is quite the machine at cruise and 140+I'll post a photo later with my other compute.r

g'day idwin
i'm really new to this site and it's good to see what riders are doing to the zz-r1200 as far as mods and performance upgrades. mine's an 02 model with k&n filter, corbin seat, genmar risers, staintunes, ivans block off plates 16 t front/46t rear sprockets and DID530 gold side plate chain and i did the rear fender removal plus rear hugger to trick it up a bit.funny thing about bikes you just can't spend enough time and money on them.
cheers steve

I bought my 04 new last year. It was leftover in an Ohio dealership for 2 years. What a shame the bike is not more popular. It handles well, stops great, rides nice and goes like a bat out of hell. When Motorcyclist magazine printed their performance test results, it was always in the top 5 in the quarter mile, just under the Hyabusa and a few others. And for old farts like me, the riding position is decent enough to handle and all-day cruise.

Iridescent windscreen and ah, well that's all the mods. Been thinking about putting stainless brake and clutch lines on it. Maybe chrome wheels and do some polishing.
It's 3 years old now and has 1000 miles on it.
