need some info on rebuild

ok so i have a 01 zx6r and want to rebuild it but i wanted to put some performance parts into it any suggestions on the best parts? any comments on boring the cylinders?

how much you wanna spend bro?

i'm doing JE slugs and carillo rods.
pauter, carrillo, JE, wiseco, and a few other companies are great..

web cams and muzzy..

are you going to bore or sleeve yourself? you know how to do it? its not that hard to sleeve..

i'm personally going with SI valves.. great stuff for half the price of ferrea.

i dunno man.. what hp are ya shooting for.. theres a TON of things you can do that are free or cheap...
just simple things, like making a crank scraper and windage tray, kleen air blockoff and vent mods, and opening the windows between the cylinders for better pressure equalization can net significant gains.

map blow-by with a flow meter on a dyno, and gap your second ring accordingly to compensate for ring flutter. closer gap=higher rpm the flutter occurs..

degree your cams

backcut your gears (maybe..) sometimes this is bad.. do research first!

i dunno man.. cheap, fast and reliable.. pick two.. lol

what are slugs? lifters?

You said its an 01? How much mileage?
You didnt say it was broke.
Its spring break you should be riding not rebuilding!
