Backroads, Twisities, On and Off Ramps
I love them. I just can't get enough. They are so addicting. I literally want to ride sideways more then i do upright. Today for expample there are a couple on ramps that are sharp sharp motogp style turns and i try to perfect them 5 or 6 times a day. its just so much fun. It's crazy no body here in cincy really feels the same. they are all stunters and like do 5 mph stunts in a stunt lot. thats cool to watch sometimes but that is not my style of riding. I have had multiple riders tell me that i am get low enough to drop the knee. they tell me i need to get leathers and head to the track. unfortunatly that will have to wait till next season since i have used alot of money on aftermarket parts for the bikes i have to take a step back for a little while. i just can't wait till i get my first track day. any advice from you expert trackers. anyways i just thought i would get on here and blab about my love for the curves. a thread for fellow backroad cravers like me.
Jeremy, a friend of mine is big into Fasttrack track time. I've done a track day with NESBA: Northeast Sport Bike Association. They have track days at Mid-Ohio and Putnam Park--Indiana. Go to NESBA.com.
I'd recommend getting a "track only" bike if you don't want to wad your baby. IMHO.

Usually all day. You can run with your stock tires. They are good enough for trackdays and even dragging your knees. Club races are actual race entries at the local amateur level where you have to fully race prep your bikeby safety wiring andrunning numbers/ plates. Now you're competing to win! It's the first step toward racing and the fastest and most consistent make it to the AMA Pro's then to World SuperbikeorMoto GP.

sweet well i may have to give that a try. maybe when i get more money get another bike and make that a specific track day bike
You can take your current bike to the track for a trackday and ride. Just don't push it if you don't want to. Same rule as on the street except the track is much safer. Right now you are taking the backroads & clover leafs (on & off ramps) to enjoy leaning. If you push it, you may crash. Same thing applies to the track but you can start slow and work your way up to go faster; as fast as you're comfortable going. The best thing is that you get the same turns to learn on. Usually there are "No Passing in the Turns" rule at most trackdays.
