Default Backroads...

Just took an amazing ride down the county roads of Nebraska... made friends with some cows, pheasants, and horses...outran a few dogs, and raced a couple trains. Absolutely gorgeous weather. My new AFX Dual sport helmet was plenty comfortable, and was really nice to be able to flip the visor up and down...much easier than taking goggles on and off while riding. Countryside was breathtaking...I'll take dirt roads on a dualsport, over a crowded city on a streetbike any day.

Nice pics. Those roads look some smooth! Sure beats the craterous woods roads I'm used to. Pavement sux. Dirt rules.

Yea they are pretty nice except for the occasional piles of gravel that make your front tire feel like its swimming. The city keeps them nicely grated.

Some more pics from my ride tonight. There are tons of old farmhouses out here.

I really enjoy riding the gravel roads through the farms. You never know what you will see in a field or an old barn.

Gotta love the UP. Your not on hwy 30 there are you? If we travel to Colorado we hop off of I80 and drive on Hwy 30 anywhere between Grand Island and North Platte,to watch all the trains. We took the long way last year and went up to chimney rock and carhenge last year.

Dig the old barns and all the green. Looks like a great ride. I live in Ne (omaha) for 4 or 5 years. Looks great!!

Thanks for sharing.

Where in Ne are you?
