This is what happens when you drive a Neon.

JK

Sucks... but - youth, inexperience, too much power and not enough parental involvement is what made that happen... my folks would never put a car that powerful in my hands as a first car. The parents should be charged with child endangerment, IMHO, as well as negligence.

not just the parents, but dodge throwing a bigger engine in it and marketing it as a sports car when it can't handle being driven like a sports car. If my car didnt turn better than it accelerated I knowI wouldnt be here right now.

It's always better to involve your parents in whatever you do.

Now see -that puts the blame back fully on the kid... I don't quite go for that. The parents need to take it upon themselves to make sure they are very much involved in their kids' life... especially when it comes to vehicle purchases.

Kind of scary thinking about how easy it is to have your life taken right out from underneath you, or how easy it is to lose someone you care about... but he's certainly lucky to be alive.

Sometimes it takes an eye opener to slow down and be a different person! I was a little too eager to turn the throttle a little too much on my old Kawasaki but after a set of handcuffs and a weekend in jail, I slowed WAY down!
