Stupid Question since I have not torn a bike down before but would this require drilling a small hole through the threads of the bolts? Like a cotter pin type lock.

Well, as nothing has come loose in 8 years so far on the bike - I doubt I have a need to do that... certainly does not sound like a fun job.
BUT I AM STILL LOOKING FOR MOUNTING DIMENSION ON ZX7 MIRRORS!!!!!
