Looking for a keihin cvk40 carb for my 98 vn 1500 vulcan classic. Some how mine is broken. Mechanic says part of the body was broken and glued. Held on for quite a while. Now need to replace carb.
Just a wonder, the Kawi site shows parts diagrams with parts lists. Shows Whole carb as pt. #15003 with all other parts numbered but the main body has no #. that is what i need.

Your right, no part number. I suppose they figure with all the work you would have to do to switch everything over and get it to work again you would be better off with a new one, but that price tag is horiffic. Try ebay they might not be in the best shape but all you need is a shell. The CVK's should be fairly common and interchangable between rides, if you have a little knowledge and a couple old carbs to tinker with I'm sure you can make it work.

Thanks man. Have tryed ebay, craigslist. kijiji, vroc forums, all no luck. I know that Harley uses the Keihin cv40 carb on some of there bikes but i can,t find one of those either. Have found two salvage companies that might have one. Just waiting to here back.
