So.. the bike that I bought last weekend, the GS500.. the title has a lien on it. So I call back the seller (after multiple attempts and him not answering), and he says he should have the letter of release and not to worry that the bike is paid off. Said he'd send it last night.. scan it and e-mail it to me, then mail the original.

My inbox has no new mail this morning.

the title should say who the lien holder is, have you tried to contact them to verify it is payed off? I went thru something similar when I sold my car w/ a lien. The dealer was given the money to pay off my lien, the kid buying my vehicle from me couldnt wait for the lien release. He was still able to register the vehicle. It just took a while for it to go thru all the systems.

 

I contacted them today when I didn't receive his e-mails. They are supposed to call me back, there was a meeting going on.

 

do you have the bike onthe road? If so at least you can ride it still.

 

No it's not registered.. I don't wanna register it until I get this lien taken care of. Plus my gear isn't here yet so I can't drive it down to the DMV to register.

 

Geez that sucks! Hopefully everything gets cleared up soon for ya! I'm sure it will, but its aggravating.

Just hang in there for the time being - and don't put holes in the wall, crackfilling is a pia!!!
