Default RE: WIFE DROPPED MY BIKE

I remember when I finally told my husband that I wanted a bike and to learn to ride (he has been riding since before he said his first word....LOL). I laughed my @$$ off when I read that most first accidents occur while the bike is not moving. I thought "what idiots!!". The first time I rode was on his mom's 250 Rebel. I rode about 4 passes up and down the road, came to a stop and dropped the bike! After laughing at the statistics I was eatin' crow.

Then just 2 days ago I was pulling in the driveway on my way home from work and my front tire hit the we grass right at the edge of the gravels and BOOM...it went down. Thank got it went down in the grass and not the gravel. No scratches at all. One thing I learned...dropping a bike is part of learning to ride. Even experienced riders drop bikes.

My husband is the most patient teacher in the world. Thank God for that. Otherwise I would just get nervous and upset and its no good to ride in that state of mind.

So take it easy on her and encourage her to get on here and get involved with other new riders.
