While I don't visit Target much either - all three of those items require licensing and federal taxation and fees to sell. This will in turn jack up the prices of other items in the store as they try to keep the prices of the beer, guns and cigs competitive. A bit self-defeating, so can't say I blame them on that front.

Ok, now that is "brandishing", is completely different from carrying open (and as an agent of said employer), and considered a threat. It may even qualify as making a terroristic threat in certain jurisdictions. If you have a CCW permit - it means just that: CONCEALED. Do not reveal it's existence unless you need it, and do not draw and point it at anything you do not intend to destroy. Remember that it is a defensive tool. If you can't use it appropriately, then in my opinion - leave it at home.

Sorry to be so direct on it - you know I am the 1st guy supporting gun ownership and ccw and displaying or using a weapon if needed... but I am also the 1st guy who says if you are going to abuse it and openly threaten other people without cause (sorry, kids being annoying brats isn't), then you have no business with it.

Flashing a death look and giving a severe tongue lashing would be just as affective in the situation you mentioned above. If you are acting as an agent of the store, then wear openly and on your hip, and exercise your power to remove them from private property, or have them removed by police for trespass.

Displaying a gun like that - well... if I were a passer-by and observed it - would get you drawn down on, and likely shot.

$.02

Yeah it's good to have our own legal consultant on board. And he's free!
