At first was going to do the Bridgestone bt014..... Then changed mind to the pirelli touring ones, the corsa I think it was.... But ended up with the dunlop d220. Should last thru this trip, they are cheap, and good rain rating.
Can't carve corners or take off from the line like b4 I'm sure. But, should do good to put 2,000 miles on and not ruin my good tires or the pocketbook. I am almost dreading putting them on. [:@]
Got both tires, installed, for $205.00 ..... Hopefully they will not have too much of a lack in performance... You ever run those?

Reading the reviews, I should get 5,000 to 7,000 miles out of them.... I just don't want to ruin my good tires to toast them in 2,000 miles ya know....
I like to do drags every now and again. so when I get back home, I need to reinstall a stickier tire. I might like the 220 tho. And decide on mileage vs performance. They are still Z rated. But the d220 has pretty wide grooves in it, especially in lean. So I don't think the traction will be there.
I read somewhere they cup out, so hopefully someone who has ran them will jump on here. I really only NEED them for this long of a trip tho.

Thats what I would do... If ya think about it most of the trip will be flat out straights, and lugging all your shiot you'lll most likley be cruising not racing.... so the 220 would be good enough.
That's what I was thinking. It's all 75 mph interstate up to Vegas from here. 800 miles of straight, flat, open, road....lol
I don't think there is a single turn from here to there. It's ALL straight....[:@]
Should make for good time though. Don't have to slow down except for gas.
