Lucky... your DI's acted the way DI's are supposed to act!

 

My DI was an Airborne Air Assault Ranger. He was absolutely crazy, but you could tell he was toning it down for the sake of the females in the platoon.

 

There was toning down in mine, it was awesome. When we "graduated" frombasic to AITwe were doing side straddle hopsafter evening chow, got to 200, and they halted us. DrillSergeant said " Congratulations,you chitbags are in AIT now.The side straddle hop...in cadence...exercise."For real, that was how we moved on from basic to AIT. When I got to the 101st I found out that the DI's were tame compared to real infantry NCO's.

 

I can't wait to get to a real unit. One way or another, I'm going to fall under USASOC
