I suggest a poll. some of us knew MK, some did not. Those that knew MK'sunfortuneate demise wouldunderstand why my ***** name is Sir Solo Wet Rider....If Mk would have been able to ride that weekend, then I am sure that my kf name would have been different. Why be a silent forum as tribute in memory? I am sure that MK would say lets continue what kf has made for us. That we are fellow riders here, lets continue on and not be silent.

edit: Maybe you guys will understand if I do not stand down from posting then if there is a silent day for most.

I was thinking mroe along the lines of a tribute full of stories of MadKaw. Stories and memories to carry on the legacy. Images of what many would do well to aspire to be. Live it up as a day in the memory of MadKaw.

I didn't know him personally, but from what I've seen here that was my loss. But think about it, what do we do all our lives on days for people who were taken early, like MLK. We study and learn all the good they did and thus carry on their legacy.

I personally didn't know him but did go back when I first joined and read alot of his posts and it sounds as though he was always in good humor.

i agree with hokie and drag..

i never had the pleasure of collaboration with the gentleman, but i was deeply saddened by reading the posts from those mourning his passing, and of the kind and funny thoughts he was always good for.

my concern is that any new members may not see that on the day of this, and may accidentally disrespect your wishes of a day of silence.. some of the newbies just start postin up, and don't bother to read the news til its too late..

i asked drag once about his sig, and he told me the story of it, and how MK was a phenomenal "people person" and a stellar person in general.. i'd personally love to hear more stories of this nature.. pics, a permement memorial page, donations to the family, and great stories of the man's character i think would serve his spirit well.

i know that if i were to part from this earth, i'd personally like to see me not being remembered amidst a pool of sad thought, but would want the remembrance of good times, wheeliesand stoppies, pizza, shred metal, low bikes, and fast cars.
(i also know that i would never have the impact on this site as he did, and you guys wouldn't do that, but just in general from those who personally know me..lol)

he seemed like an incredible warm and happy man, so lets keep that alive! always remember the good.
