I like the new duramax. But like my daddy says if it ain't a CAT it's a dog. I am pissed that you can't get the 7.3 CAT in the F250 anymore. I ride my bike 90% of the time, but I rock my Jeep YJ when it monsoons.
7.3L was the international powerstroke
there is a 7.2L C7 you can get for the F-650

What kind of trucks seem to do the best where you work?

It's really hard to say. For what I do with the amount of driving and all the **** I carry with me I can tell you what doesn't cut it. Diesel is pretty much the favorite flavor of fuel out there hands down. You definitely wouldn't last long with a half ton truck, especially a Nissan. Rarely see anything but GM, Dodge or Ford out there. In my experiences I've seen more Fords seriously break down than anything else. I've seen a handful of GM's have minor problems, something that can be fixed by someone already out there working on the rig (sometimes you luck out and theres a mechanic by trade working out there). Dodges seem to have a harder time starting when it gets below 20 degrees Celsius (it gets even colder than that too easily). They've all got problems, usually to the fault of the owner though (bagging the hell out of their vehicles).

But from what I've seen, I've only seen one guy have a problem with his chevy (an electrical problem) that gave him grief, and I've seen more fords and dodges have to get towed out. I'd have to say GM wins with Dodge being a close second.

Not fact people (before you start jumping down my throat) just what I have personally seen. I like all 3 of those trucks, alot. I just don't like Nissan or Toyotas

I beleive that, I've seen below -40 on several occasions and you are further north than me. Sucks when you have to do repairs in the cold. I stopped for gas once and the gas door release cable on my car was frozen at -10 and I didnt have enough gas to fill up later. I didnt care if I ripped the door off as long as it got me back on the road. then there was the time in winnepeg when I was washing the windsheild and snapped my wiper blade in half at -15. That stuff is brutal.

Well I guess I won't hold that against you. After some of the places I have taken my truck I don't need your approval to know I do have a good truck.

I'm not saying you dont have a good truck. I like fords alot, I was looking at either that or the Chev. Trust me if it was a ford that met all my requirements and price i may have gotten it.

I should probably say that most of the fords I've seen busted bad have oversized tires and big lifts. i'd say at least half the time theres some engine tinkering going on there with the stage 2 air intakes (not good if you mostly drive dusty roads), chips and injectors. Doing stuff that voids your warranty usually leaves you with a better chance than not on breaking down.

I don't think anyone needs approval with what they drives. Its a free country. Fighting over trucks is like arguing who the best heavyweights were. Ie: Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis. They're all champs, just which you like better. Hahah although tyson is like a ford because he breaks down more jokes man jokes.

Well I reread what I wrote and could see how it might be a bit neg, even though I didn't mean it like that. I have a couple of buddies one with a ford and the other with a chevy. We give each other so much crap, but at the end of the day it is all for fun. As for my truck all I have done to it was put some 10ply tires on, which I have torn up alot.
