For the past few days I've been back and forth with RoadRunner tech support about my internet connection. I recently noticed that loading the forum and other stuff was extremely slow. I first thought it was my son hogging all the bandwidth on his newly found XBox live connection. After some time of this going on and it not improving, I did a speed check and was only getting 600 kbps download!

Ugh. That brought back memories of dial-up. Man I don't want to go back to dial-up. That was painful.

The RR guy just called and said he replaced a card in some chassis somewhere out here and my connection speed is back to normal - about 7 Mbit, or 10X what it was when it was acting up.

Ah, this is much better now.

 

Yea I hear that, I upgraded to the 10 Meg connection, but most nights from 7-10 pm it sometimes sporadically drops to 256 k....BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!
