Default Coolant tank hose connection points

I have been restoring a 1985 KLR 250. It is my first wrench job and so far I have made great progress, and have been able to replace everything I have removed with no parts left over. Unfortunately I was careless when dissasembling my reserve coolant tank, and did not note the connecting points for the hoses, and now I do not remember what the lower hose conects too. I am sure it is not just an overflow, but I cant seem to find the connecting point on the engine. Could someone please steer me in the right direction? All I need to do is fill this thing with coolant and I am ready to try and start it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looked at my 84 600 manual and it shows the bottom tube of the resevoir connecting to the Radiator.

Not sure on your ride but it should hook in at the filler cap.

Hey, thanks, that makes sense. I must have mixed up my hoses, the bottom goes to the radiator, and the top hose must be the overflow.
