Wow, trajic stuff! It is hard to understand how anybody could rationalize doing something like that, especially with their children in the house?

So can anybody tell me why there was a 4 hour delay between the time this was reported and actual police action was taken????

That is bs and they are probably the reason why these people both lost their lives.

In a hostage type situation they cant just rush the house, and so they waited till the Swat team came from 3 hrs away. I would have gone in.

Couldn't imagine doing myself in with a .22. Heck, I don't use a .22 on groundhogs so they don't suffer! If you're going to kill something; even yourself, nothing less than a 9m or .38 (maybe a .32). I prefer a 220swift or a 22-250 for my groundhog friends....

Sorry to hear about the tragedy. I suspect he was showing signs of needing help long before this. Most folks do, but are ignored and/or not taken seriously. Suicide does not just "suddenly" manifest itself. Kids are the real victims.
