Yes, SRO, I'm hating CatV and Punchdown tools. I also despise toners and Icky-Pik, fan-out kits, and anything else related to Fiber-Optic work.

Stranded or solid cat 5? I learned the hard way to always go with stranded. Man that stuff is a pita the first few times.

Nooooo.... stranded = fragile! Your fingers get used to it, just like playing guitar... always go with solid.

We use solid for the networking, but we use cat 5 for alot of other things, and the flexibility of strandedis sooo much better than replacing broken cables all of the time. Don't worry sro, I am not using it for any of the original purposes

I would have to agree with you there ZZ when you use it as a noose to strangle those stupid users it doesn't matter if it is stranded or solid. it still works the same.
