all i saw was the neighbors roof with plumbing vent pipes and their shadows and a pile of leaves, looks fine to me

Actually those are cedar shake roofs, in excellent shape.

yeah in the picture they looked like normal shingles untill i just took a closer look

Its really the only improvement that we have done outside, and now we have the landscape bug, I see flowerbeds in my future.
