I'll put it to you this way. I used to love working on cars. Then I became a mechanic. Now I can't stomach working on my own car. I have all the guys in my unit bringing me their cars and a case of beer on the weekends so I can get them up and running again. It's a great hobby, but trust me... when you spend all day working on other people's bikes, the last thing you are going to want to do on your time off is work on your own bike. That's why you never buy a car from an ad that says "mechanic owned..." because you know that they did the bare minimum repairs to make the car get them to work and back.

Screw it man. If you gotta love for two wheels, do it. Who cares how much it pays. you live once, do what makes you happy man......

And ya, lol, never buy a car from a mechanic, or date a woman who used to be married to a Doctor. lol

It doesnt matter what you learn as long as your learning. Higher education opens any door, just make sure you study something that interests you, otherwise you wont do well. More than half of the people with college degrees are in career fields that have no relation to their degrees at all. If you were applying to be manager at a marshmellow factory with a H.S. diploma and a 4.0GPA, they will pass you up for a guy with a degree in crypto zoology and a 2.5 GPA. Getting anything, even from a vo-tech school, will get you to the interview, and if you like what your doing, then its so much easier to get your paper. I guess what I'm saying is
DO IT!!!!
