Yeah, it's a new thing. It used to be just a reflective belt, but they just made the vests manditory

 

Always hadto keep the reflective belt in my jacket for on-post...vests would be better.

 

on and off base in uniform and in civilian clothing...

 

The belts were supposed to be that way weren't they? No one ever did though

 

it's going to be a tattoo...DG cousin digitized it and DG embroidered it onto the vest...she could make it a patch...

what I was told by the base security officer is that its base specific now. so depending on who is in charge the rules will be more or less strict. at Pax River you have to be wearing a dot helmet and eye protection, gloves, and a bright colored or reflective shirt. does not have to be one of those vests, does not have to be a protective leather jacket, a bright red t-shirt is enough.

Whaaaat? Since when can they policy off-duty & off-post dress code - regardless of a bike. Next they will say you can only ride green bikes off post.
