Canadians won't be allowed down there unless they have a passport - that totally stinks in my opinion!
Why does that stink?
Cause a passport costs $100, takes forever for them to process it and get it to you, and in my opinion, I don't think it should be necessary. Especially since they weren't required in the past. And I'll leave it at that.

I had an idea for a rally awhile back. I was thinking of planning one up here in the stix around the Fall. We have beautiful roads up here. Great mountains and really awesome scenery. Just don't know how to plan one without getting the towns consent.

the towns concent [sm=dontgetit.gif] Is your town real small if thats the case I could understand. But how many extra bikers would it take to stand out?

We have plenty of hotel space in the surrounding towns but, to actually plan an official rally, I would think that I would need some kind of permit. Unless I just invite a couple hundred "friends" to my town all on the same few days . I am about 15mins from Woodstock Ny and Kingston where there a quite a few accomodations.

I really need to make plans for next year if I want to do something. We have alot of parks here that could hold quite a few people. I am thinking clam bake pig roast and the usual Barbque essentials. LIKE BEER!!! We also have campgrounds which I could probably talk to about having something there. HHHMMMM ball might be rolling LOL.

My wife's family did a reunion in a park on Long Island this past summer...same kind of thing with BBQ etc, although there weren't any bikes and probably less people...it could be done...

BUMP

So, who's still up for getting together? We should probably plan now if we want to do it anytime this summer.

I've been doing a lot of flying back and forth to London for work, so I've got at least a couple of free flights lined up from frequent flyer miles. If it was somewhere within a few states, I'd ride out. Otherwise I'd be willing to fly out just to say hi (and maybe do that photo-shoot...). Camping w/BBQ & Beer sounds like a blast!
