My question is...why did you run? You have made it so much worse for yourself. Why didn't you just pull over?

We can't pass people when we pursue here....too much risk involved...the liability and chances for someone getting hurt is too great so most departments have policy in effect prohibiting those actions. You can't Pit a bike it would kill the rider.

If you would have pulled over the worst you could have gotten is a ticket and a butt chewing.
IF the officer got your tag... I can't see how he could not have gotten it. (My camera can zoom in on a tag from more than a block away.) I wouldn't have kept chasing you either....if I have your tag I've got enough to get a warrant....why take the risk and besides if a pursuit (in some places) starts getting into the higher speeds then a Supervisor might call it off to prevent accidents etc.

I definitely would not report that the plate was stolen...cause when they catch you...and they definitley could fairly easily then you'll be guilty of Filing a False Police Report which is a FELONY...not just a misdemeanor....everything you have done so far is Misdemeanor.

Now you could have fleeing charges, plus a butt load of tickets and it won't come in the form of someone knocking on your door. It will be a warrant and they will send you a letter to inform you about the warrant. If you get caught driving and you have a warrant, you go to jail and they will suspend your drivers license when the warrant is issued so its a double whammy. My suggestion is that you #1 pray to God that the cop was going to another call. #2 He didn't get your license plate. #3 Get some vasaline because if he got your tag you are screwed! Ohh and about Wed next week call the Sheriffs dept and see if you have a warrant.

But you can go on your ride tomorrow because the earliest the warrant could come out is Monday. Courts aren't open on Sunday and Judges don't come in on their day off for stupid crap that people pull on Motorcycles or cars for that matter unless it involves a death.

You need to pull your head out of your bowel region because YOU made it worse by running....oh and just so you know if you run from the cops they tend to take it a little more personal than if you get stopped and say "Sorry! I didn't see you back there until just now"

I've gotten warrants on people who have run from me and won in court.
