Thanks Drag...it seems the other jacket I have...ummm..shrunk in the rain...so I needed a bigger jacket

 

So......last weekend I am up in Canada visiting with the in-laws and out-laws and they have 5-7 channels to choose from to watch the Olympics it just depends on what time of day.
Plus , the coverage is way F'ing better you actually get to see all of the event your watching and the "color" commentators know when to shut the f up

The USA NBC announcers should shut up they have no idea what there talking about and it sounds scripted.

Now I really hate NBC...........Idiots!

 

they always interupt the events by spouting off what they would do in that situation or what should have been done...they should just let the cameras roll and shut up!!!

 

I really think they have writers, when the opening happened we got a call from the wifes mom to "talk about it" had to tell her to stop becuase it had not even started down here. Then they really wrecked it with all their stupid comments.

 

Then they take precious time that they could be showing events or semi finals to sit around in those stupid chairs in front of the fake fire just to run their mouths.

 

From what I understand the actual commentary is unscripted, when they are actually commenting, but the rest of it is filler that they pull out of a pile of cue cards to keep their mouths running when nothing is happening.

 

OH here is a good one- I've been waiting for the Skeleton runs..............
Last night I got to watch the male Canadian receive his gold medal.....bloody hell not one run on the TV! are you kidding me! There is even DRAMA !!
One of the Canadians was DQ'ed for not taking off his rail Guards in time --- 1 min late
they were off before the inspectors actually got to his sled.
The appeal would not be heard by the German judges because Canadians accused the Germans of cheating with magnetic sled parts.
then the Gold medal woman from Great Britain has a illegal helmet that the Germans are "overlooking".

Great stuff all missed by NBC!
