On a different topic I got my bike fixed and can ride again. It feels so great to ride again. Now only if it weren't mid 90's here.

so what does everyone do to deal with the heat of riding in summer. Its triple digits where I am right now and I don't even feel like leaving the house.

 

sweat it out at least you don't have the humidity as well

Asz, dont skimp on the gear just cause its hot, tough it out and keep moving, stop and go traffic will kill you. Relax and take your time, stop off at a gas station and grab a gatorade, just remember to park in the shade, lol. The worst part for me is that I dont get enough air over my feet and my boots get heat soaked, I stick one foot out at a time to air them out, just gotta be careful not to snap your ankles.

 

I don't ride with out gear. All the bay area has is stop and go traffic lol. Once it cools off I take the bike out. Last night at 11pm it was still 85 out. Today it got up to 103. I need something more breathable then my perforated leather jacket but, I don't have the extra cash to pick up a breathable mesh jacket right now.

 

Any of you ever try that P90 workout? If so were you able to stick to it and what kind of results have you seen? I'm on week 5 of doing it and I have to say aside from the recovery week there was not been one day that I have not had several of my body parts sore from it.
On a different note I wish some one would turn down the down. Its not supposed to be over 80 at 9am. I think there is a law about it or something.

 

You live in the freakin midwest in AK. What do you know about humidity??? LOL!

Humidity is when you are standing there and drenched in sweat and havent moved.

Humidity is when you are standing there not moving and have a time trying to breathe.

Humidity is swearing that you are in an oven because it is so hot but when you look at the temp gauge it only reads 90 degrees and the heat index is 135.

Humidity is knowing not to even bother trying to fix your hair or wear makeup because your hair will fall and the makeup will be down your face before you make it to your office good.

Oh and you gotta love the daily flash floods from the thunderstorms that happen every day around 3pm.

I love watching the snow birds (northern folk) when they come down here. They are like wow & omg and can't stay outside. hahahahahahaha
