to be fair it was Saturday! I was out on two wheels all day, did a long road bike ride and in the afternoon i went out for a quick ride to get dinner on the Connie.

I have this recurring question, when I see a group of (usually) Harley riders amassed at a gas station, admiring each other's bikes. This is going to sound "disparaging" but I don't mean it to, really. My question is, why do (usually) Harley riders seem to gravitate toward that "2-wheeled, rolling holiday parade float" look with their bikes? It's like a 50mph hiway vacuum-robot with dangly fringe..... If they get into a wreck, it'll take 3 days to find the body under all that displaced piņata hardware.
Can anyone answer that for me?

....actually, Pipe, much like ID^, I was engaged in charging a replacement battery for my 9. (Definitely bike-related activity.) My last battery (the one I took out) I had installed in '03. Not bad for a regular 'ol wet-cell Wal-Mart variety battery. I think it pays to ride nearly all year; keeps your battery charged-up and the lube in the cylinder walls. My 2-cents.
