hopefully avoiding the UP at all costs! There is a reason... well - several - why I left there!

 

Been there once, I drank, rode snowmobiles (while drunk), camped, over and again for several days. Then I went back home.

 

Yep, that's pretty much the lifestyle starting in November up there. Funniest part is the DNR snowmobile officers go after you for drunk snowmobiling - but *every* single groomed, state trail goes from bar to bar and gas station to gas station... wtf.

The only thing I miss about being up there is the snowmobiling... though some of the roads are nice on a bike too - you might recall my trip up there earlier this summer.
