Wow shon that menu sounds pretty good. This year the wife and I are having her parents up to our house for thanksgiving (We hosted then entire clan last year-30 people and two turkeys YIKES!). And in true SoCal fashion we will be making...Enchiladas! Yup, no turkey for us. Mostly becuase we will be going up to LA la land the first weekend of december for the clan gathering and there will be plenty of turkey there.

BTW: How many of you already have christmas decorations up? THey are springing up like weeds in my neighborhood...couldn't we kinda get through fall first people?

Shon, you're the chef, huh?? I do a pretty good marsala myself. With my wife's family everywhere 'round here, we're doing the big meal at a central location (one of the daughter's house) Traditional spanish pork (pernil) turkey, probably a ham, pies, all the other fixings and if I don't make my famous flan I'll be locked out of the house!!!! With kids and all, there'll be over 20 there....and I'm an only child...Christmas dinners when I was growing up was me and Dad.....I'm still not used to it, but the eats are good, then there's the turkey-coma after....I'll survive.

Yup, even when we have dinner at someone else's house they ask me to cook. If I don't make my pumpkin pie (from scratch) I am in serious trouble! Had to make six of em yesterday for the neighbors. Yeah made the mistake of handing them out 2 yrs ago, now I can't walk outside when Turkey day comes around without hearing " hey where's my pie!" LOL AND I HATE THE STUFF [:-]!!!!

It's not a fav of mine either...I got the same problem with Flan - it's a traditional Spanish dessert that I made last year to my wife's directions when she ran out of time to do it. Once she saw what I did she made it my job!! Her family took a lot of convincing that it wasn't her, and my son only comes to visit from college if I'm making it...
