Gas prices will only go up. One of the biggest factors in the price jumping is the falling dollar. If you compare in the increases in price per berrel of oil in dollars yea its gone up a crap load if you look at the price in euros its only gone up half that of the dollar. Gas prices aren't jumping as high as people make it out to be its the falling dollar thats making it seem like its out of control.

You can blame prices on demand. We can't get it out of the ground quickly enough (economically speaking) to meet the demands. We're not using any less (as a worldly consumption) and we're not exactly finding many alternate energy solutions.
You can also blame people like me (at the bottom of the operations totem pole) that charge 800 plus $ a day for our services.

First off, if you think your gas prices are crazy, just look at the prices over here - they are twice as high! And they would be higher still if it weren't for the falling dollar - like aszrael said, thats your main cause + the giant and rising demand for oil. Sorry guys, looks like you'll have to give up your gas guzzlers soon. I don't really think that the government can do anything to reduce the prices, I mean what are they going to do - nationalize big oil? Anyways, things are not looking well, US economy in on the verge of recession and if you go down, we will follow. Talk about bleak future

its the *** hats that only get 5 gallons to the mile that insist on driving their big *** trucks. steller is right its called supply and demand. the demand is higher and everone is willing to pay more cuz well we have too. The average person does not want to depend on public transportation mostly cuz its smelly old bums that ride it. If everyone switched to motorcycles the world would be a better place

gas prices are a funny thing. the closer you live to the refineries the cheaper it is, and naturally the farther away from the refineries the mroe expensive. here is the kicker though. because they use gas to fuel the trucks that transport the gas... the higher the gas prices get the more the cost will increase as the distance the trucks have to deliver it go.
so it could be 3.00 in louisianna but 4.00 in north dakota for no reason other than transport costs.

The reds aren't taking over, in politics, or (unfortunately) baseball. I am just tired of everyone blaming the government for not solving all of their problems. When the government does something everyone complains, when the government doesn't do something everyone complains. It is just getting old.It isn't the governments job toprovide for everyone. I agree that they shouldmake sure we aren't just getting hosed by the oil companies, that is enforcing the law which IS their role. Maybe the congress should be investigating the gas issue instead of who used steroids in baseball, how is that relevant to our lives? I think the whole steroid investigation is infuriating!

If everyboby in the US could ride motorcycles for two months and not cars, we would decrease the demand and the prices would drop. Can you imagine how much that would reduce the consumption rate!
