Firearm carry when riding?
ORIGINAL: m249c
I am about to be purchasing my first bike, and I am a lawful Tennessee handgun permit holder and was wondering if there were any other members on board here that carried their piece in their tank bag, or back pack while riding? It seems to be a pretty good idea for those that have the chance to carry legally.

No need to carry while your riding unless your going on vacation or domehting. Just drop it down a gear and go, go, go! maybe you guys watch too many movies...

As for people saying a gun for personal defense is not a reason for buying a firearm, I seriously disagree. But thats neither here nor there. Notstock, you never told me what model your Glock is that you keep posting. I am anxious to know. You simply cant beat a Glock, for sidearm selection. They are the toughest and most reliable of any that I have shot, owned or tested. Their torture tests are testament to them being stellar. And for their price, you simply cannot beat them. Period. I am looking to carry in a shoulder rig for bike carry. The man that suggested that makes a solemn point, since you are already wearing a jacket. I am allowed to carry openly in my state, but I digress due to sheeple calling the police over seeing someone on a bike with a glock strapped to their hip. Granny on her way to Food City doesnt take to well to a 23 year old fella on a bike with a Glock 9mm, I cant figure it out. I am still waiting on my stipend from the Army to get in, when it comes in, the first thing I am buying is a new Glock and then heading down the road to Jim's Motorcycle shop and buying my brand new 2007, 250R. I have been counting the days and they seem to go by like years... [:@]
I have really enjoyed reading this thread. I personally own six guns and have a long list of other guns I am wanting to purchase. Even though I have never carried one on the bike i always carry one in the truck when Iam traveling or going into the mountains. As for self defense, I prayI never have to use my gun to defend myself. However I have walked my house at night with the gun cocked and loaded after hearing astrange noise. I would not hesitate a second to shoot someone who breakes into my home, my wife first and my life second are more important to me.
