indeed, saftey and calm sanity first! calm, cool, collected is me.i know there are intellectually bankruptedneolithic morons out there that are careless with guns, and hotheads actually looking to use them. that is definetly not me, if i have a chance to walk away i will.
been carrying a long time, they are like an extention of me.

thats respectable. your right there are hotheads out there that shouldnt be even carryin them but its nice to know there are some mature carriers as well. just please don't give a gun to a kid that is extremely depressed and threatenin to shoot up a whole school. that really baffles me when parents do that.

I carry just the essentials when riding solo in the desert:

1. 9mm Taurus (15-rounds)
2. 2-MSR large fuel bottles
3. 2-Corona's (not shown bubble wrap for 'em)
4. Condoms, which I use more than the gun - those mx girls are crazy!
5. 1-bottle of pain killers if I totally bite it in the dirt (probably would use the gun on myself at that point)
6. 1-toolkit
7. 1-Maglight
8. 1-First Aid kit
9. CWP and various other paperwork including permits to ride in certain areas

never. would never give a kid anything other than intellectual advise or scientific fact. kids are our future, America's hope for a future. it pisses me off to no end to see ppl giving kids drugs, guns or encouraging negativeactions. America's moral fiber must be restored!
its those hotheads and idiots that gives guns a bad rep.
i have been in a couple situations where i would have been legally justified in shooting, but since i was smarter than the moron punks that would have been on the recieving end of a bullet, i was able to walk without even showing what i have.

i carry 2 large frame guns, one berreta 9 and one colt 45 with about90 rounds of 9mm ammo and about 32 rounds of 45cal ammoandwear secret service/cia grade body armor. its a bit tricky to conceal it all on the bike, especially in hot weather.
my problem is finding a protective riding jacket thats long enough to conceal the bottom/tip of the holsters and barrels of the guns.
That's 121 rounds of ammo, not counting what's chambered. I didn't even carry that much while on duty. A bit excessive, no? I agree with you that America is not as safe (in some places) as some folks might think... but the likelihood that even in a worst-case scenario that you will need to discharge your firearm more than 5 times is less than your chances of winning the Mega Millions, especially when you are just tooling about for a joyride. One gun with a full mag is plenty when I CCW, and on occassion a single extra magazine. If you need anything more than that - then really - you are in a situation that you truly have no business being in to begin with, and at the very least - should back out and call for reinforcements.

$.02

I agree with sro that hybrid may be carrying a little too much. But as long as he is responsible and obeys the law...carry on hybrid

Same here!!! Mmerdox, we must remember, MANY memeber of this forum are from COmmunist states where the inner city members of their states elect Liberals that steal their gun rights. You and I in Montana have the precious right to walk n and buy up to 2 handguns and 3 rifles a day, pay the money, run the background check, and walk out the store 10 minutes all guns in hand, and if a lawful ccw permit holder, with em loaded (the handguns) GAh, I love Tennessee!!!!!
man i'm moving - Maryland is rediculous. you have to be law enforcement or prove your life is in danger to get a CCW
