Ha ha muffler bearings ... good stuff.

This reminds me when my now 13 yo was around 3 or 4 years old. My wife, son, and I were driving my old beat-up Dodge RAM pickup truck to my folks place and at one point we started hearing a scraping sound from underneath. I said it's probably the muffler dragging and I pulled over and it was the tailpipe that came loose and was hanging by the rubber hanger thingy and the other end was dragging on the road. So I just cut the rubber thing off with my SOG paratool, tossed the tailpipe in the back, got back in and told them that it was the muffler dragging and I just cut it off with my knife, and we started going again.

Well, after a few long moments of silence, my 3 yo said, "Dad, did it bite you?". I said did what bite me? And with really big scared eyes he said, "The Muffler Dragon?". Ha ha, I'll never forget that. What he must have been thinking - I'm down there underneath the truck doing battle with the evil Muffler Dragon with only my knife for a weapon - a furious fight to the death, but dad prevailed
