Default Downhill MTB?

Anyone here ride Downhill MTB's? I was thinking of getitng one since there is a a couple places to ride around me. I have a cheap Mongoose XR-500 and I've taken it off some pretty wicked drops and only the pedals have snapped. So I was thinking of getting a Mongoose BlackComb or something like that. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Will

start small on the dh runs, i went big my first time and had a seat pucker factor of 15 but damm it was fun. i dont do it anymore but it was good times. theres a few dmb spots out in pv and some not to far away from me here. my buddy john that just moved got into it the same time as me and went all out with a full suspension racer that cost more than a damn new ninja 500.

I am pretty sure I like it since I love jumping my BMX bike but I want to get bigger air but if I do it on the BMX I will probably kill it. I defantiely want to go off those rock drops and huge tabletops they have at most DH places.

Hey is that bridge up in the mountains, ah I forget what the place is called. Its along a bike trail. There is a bike rental shop there and a little diner.
