You and me both. I just saw the truck and asked the sales guy and I quote: "are you sure that's all you want for the truck" Yea I'm the worst buyer ever. I paid $21,900, but the diesel engine adds nearly $4,000 to the blue-book value. I hope I can get 400,000 miles out of it before any major issues. (fingers crossed)

 

cummins can do that easily. but that 4-speed is terrible

 

This is why I don't mess with automatics... it's manual or bust. DON'T take it to a tranny shop

But sometimes you do not have a choice for a certain model lets say. None of the excursions offered a manual for example.

 

true but in that cause i would have gotten the V10 not the diesel the auto tranny's for ford were terrible for awhile. now that have improved very much but they used to suck

 

drag, they had 3 excursions at the dealer when i bought my 250. 2, 4x4 diesels with manuels and a 2wd one with a stick. i wanna say they were for a railroad company but special orders. still fun tho, i got to rip on one of the 4x4's

 

now that would have been awesome

 

i want a excursion now
