I talked to a guy at our local Electronics store about satellite yesterday. He says he personally has direct tv, and cannot tell much of a difference between the HD channels on it, and the HD digital cable they are using at the store. Direct tv is starting to sound better to me!

Currently have everything on cable...TV w/HD/DVR (no HBO or Cinemax), high-speed internet (usually runs around 13 megs down), and phone. Costs right at $200- mo.
Am not happy with limited number of HD stations and am elated with internet speeds.
Had Directv for years prior
Am currently contemplating going to Dishnetwork for TV because they offer free HD DVR and will probably soon have more HD.(tech-head nephew swears by them)
Directv definetely has most HD at moment, but want $200- for HD DVR and I previously had weather trubs with them.
Am hanging to see what programming does as I'm not excited about a 2 yr. contract.

We run DirecTV at our store. Never had any problems there. I think I've seen a little more DirecTV than Dish Network at the customers' houses that I've been to.
