RE: Crude oil touches milestone of $100 a barrel
one reason for those pricesis that$ took a plunge. It helps if you live outside the US because weak $ keepsthe price down, but still you have to keep in mind our petrol it taxedfarmore then yours. $ 4 per gallon? How about twice that, eh? There are some alternative fuels, like an LPG which is propane-butane gas; practically every petrol powered car can be easily set up to run on this, it is more efficient then petrol+ its cheap, no wonder then it is in widespread use. You also have biofuels, a mix of ethanol and standard petrol, and of course the diesel. BTW,I read recently that all those supposedly eco-friendly hybrids like Priusactually burn more fuel and emit more CO2 then their diesel counterparts, soit's all hype, but hey, its trendy, right?
I mean I'd love to have Dodge Ram, I always wanted one, but it would bring me to financial ruin within a month. So I'm driving one of those euro econo-boxes (peugeot 107), on theup side I get 4,5 liters per 100 km, which amounts to... (doing some math)... errr... 52 mpg.
