Default Chained

I think I might of saved my budies life, or from alot of hurt. You see my bud was wanting to change his turnies to led's and while I was helping him I went over his bike and noticed his rear chain is loose. So he asked if I could tighten it up for him. Well after tightening it up for him I rolled the wheel and noticed the chain was binding up on the rear sprocket and then poping into place. I brought that to his atention and he told me its been making a poping noise for the last couple rides.... I'm just glad I caught that b4 we headed out that day..... Any sujestions on the fix maybe new chain or sprocket or both?

I bought a Vortex set from this guy for a good deal, he even threw in the shipping for free when I e-mailed him with some questions. I ended up going with the 525 set instead of the 530 stock size. I then bought a chain from another e-Bayer for another good price. All the were for a 2000' ZX9.

Cool thanks, but I think we are going to try a new chain first to see if thats the fix then go from there.

FIND OUT WHERE THE CHAIN IS BINDING FIRST, THEN MABEY SEE WHY, AND SOAK IT IN A BUCKET OF GAS AND TRY TO WORK OUT THE KINK. BUT IF YOUR GOING TO REPLACE ONE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE BOTH SPROCKETS AND THE CHAIN.
