Brother in law got activated.
Well my sister has been in the army reserves for like 6 years.... and my brother in law was in marine reserves and just switched to the army reserves when we re inlisted. He has MOS training? i dont know what it is, but because of that he got switched to a different unit and got activated. He is leaving beginning of january to go to texas for training, then shipping to bagdad for a 400 day activation. Kinda sucks, at least my sister didnt get activated... but they just moved into thier house...and a bunch of other stuff... horrible timing.
Good luck to him, I hope he stays safe
I dont think the ever is a "good" time to be activated. My nephew got the call, he also just bought a house. I guess there is small comfort if you know there not the front line over there, my nephew is a load master, he does flie in and outta there, but its not like he is out patroling for IED's.

I wish him the best, and a quick return home. When he gets out of AIT, he'll be off and he'll be fine I'm sure. He's going to have everybody in his new unit watching his back. That's how it works over there.
SF is not marines. But your intentions are noble my friend
Too bad about the brother-in-law EMS. It is the job we sign up for though. Fighting the good fight brings out the best in most people. He will have some goodguys watching his back like Vic said.
