Default another squid takes a dirt nap (asphault in this case)

Some kid on an Suzuki got clipped today . The moron was riding in skater shoes, shorts and a wife beater. He had blood soaking trough his shorts at his knee and his left arm was covered in blood and just dripping. The only thing he did right was wear his helmet. The kid got real lucky it looked like he got clipped by an oncoming car. I know it gets hot around here but I still wear my jacket knee pads and boots. it’s a small price to pay to prevent some road rash. I wish I would have taken some pics to show you guys but I was to busy rubbernecking.

I've been very disappointed this year seeing all the sportbike riders around here not wearing any gear at all. Where's the common sense?

Squid count out here has taken a huge increase as well. I have stopped waving to them, and I am contemplating to start birding them.

There are some many people who ride here like that and I am seeing more and more now. Every day the gas price goes up I see more squids. On that note it took me 14 and some change to top of my bikes tank yesterday [:@]

All so very true and the cruiser riders are the WORST of all. Rarely do I see them in anything, much less a helmet. I personally prefer a full face helmet to the shorty helmet, besides looking like they went to school withHitler, they don't prevent a rock from slamming into your face as it flies off the SUV in front of you at 70 mph, nor does it prevent the pavement from scraping your skin off as you slidedown the highway to the next exit on your face. All gear, All the time. IMO

Hell I think it is even worse where I am at. Friday I had seen a pack of about 5 riders on the beach with flip flops swim trunks some with shirts some with out shirtsno helmets and a female passenger in a bikini top with cut off shorts. I might not wear my jacket some times but always have my helmet jean pants boots and gloves on. Espeacially lately with all the out of towners.
