You were born in 1983?.......Crap!! I'm old enough to be your dad. Dang it!! I had an 81 CB 450 in fact that's the bike I took the test on, and I couldn't ride anything over a 500 for a long time. Then or some reason they got rid of the different classes of bikes here in Washington. I have a chance to do a half days electrical work for an old Honda, I'm going for it. I'll let you know what I find out.

its got 8700 miles on it, needs a battery, has a charging problem... and is all stock. The owner has had it for 20 years.... its lookin good.... ill go look at it soon.

mmm i don't know bro, i like to hear things run when i buy them, when you go to look at ittake a battery with you to test it. whens the last time it was started????

not sure... ill ask.... i figure ill go look at it and see if i physically like it, then tell him to get a battery in it and ill come back and buy it after i hear it run... unless he can get it running for the first look at it.

just jump it with your car battery and it will save you the trip to go see it again,

is the bike battery 12 volts? i thaught they were 6 ?

should be 12v, although that is an older bike, in which case i have no idea.

something about older bikes and car jumping does not mix. i tried to jump my old honda one time and it blew a fuse in the bike. i would get a MC battery but thats just me.
