Okay guys I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong section bought just purchased my second zx9r for a thousand dollars...the bike is in outstanding condition except for some fairings .....could you please help I would really love original ones but all I can find are fiberglass which I was told to stay away from...I live in north carolina so I ride A LOT, about 8 to 9 months out of the year....if you guys could tell me where I could get the front cowl fairing....left side fairing...and tail piece I would really appreciate it....oh yeah the bike is a 1994 with 12000 thousand miles...bought it from a 40 year old man who received the bike by someone not having the money they owed him for mechanic work...its all stock except for polished frame and polished swing arm...the fairings are there but are full and I mean Full of bondo...they even bondo the signal in place.....thanks guys and I look foward to talking with you on the forums

Welcome to KF!
The best place, sad to say, is ebay. But the older stuff is hard to find. Good luck on getting her back to stock.

Welcome to KF and congrats on your second ZX9r

You could of course as mentioned hit up ebay. This may take you some time to piece the body work and the bike back together. OEM is still an option at a high price tag. Some of the glass manuafacturers are better than others, but fitting/drilling and painting is required. good luck

These guys are right^. Finding bodywork (particularly OE stock) is VERY difficult. I own a '95, and have a few extra pieces with cracks and holes that I guard with my life. Not sure why the 9's bodywork is so scarce? Might try salvage yards, or hook up with (oddly enough) midget or outlaw dirt-track racers. I know they were buying many 9's a few years ago, because they were using the engines in their cars. They MIGHT have some cast-off plastic in the scrap pile.
There's also a ZX-9 website. I was a member for a while, but lost interest in that site; guess I just "connect" with the Kaw Forums (here). Good folks. I'll keep my eye out for some plastic....

PS, not to be sick, but let me know if you ever have interest in selling. I like the old 9's and 7's. Something about them just works for me. Feel free to PM anytime, OK? I'll help if I can.
