Default Need Help

I have a 2002 Gol ZX-9R and was out riding when I ran out of fuel so when I rolled the pet-**** over to resv it kept sputtering. I added gas and the bike would start and idle but would not rev past 5K. I replaced the plugs and put in good gas and still cannot get it past 5K.
I then took out the fuel filter and and was able to blow fuel through it easily so I feel it may be a further problem.
Any assistance?

Pull the fuel valve from the tank, it could be that the screen is plugged. Is that a fuel injected bike? I don't know much about big modern bikes.

I agree with deej.....its sounds like a clogged pet ****....(before the filter)maybe running it out let bad tank junk get in

have you put it back "OFF" reserve "ON RUN"since replenishing with fuel?.....are both positions the same?

lets us know what ya find?

air bubble perhaps? could be just enough to reek havok and starve fuel.

your tank has a screen (a very fine one) on the pickup tubes. the chances of any large debris getting into the carbs is kinda slim. only fine tank rust will pass and sccumulate in the floatbowls and float needle valve body.
