for the life of me, I can not remove the front axel to get the front wheel off, I removed the 2 allen bolts on both sides that pinch the forks, but how does the axel come out?

Please Help

Its normaly a special tool...
I made mine... very easy (1 bolt, 3 nuts, 3 lock washers, 3 reg flat washers)
Go to hardware store and buy a bolt the size of the axle hole...
(the bolt head must match the inner axle size)
make sure bolt is 3 or 4 inches long
add a washer, lock washer then nut, repeat till your out of nuts and washers
Tighten the heck out of all bolts, that will become your new axle tool
insert the bolt head into the axle, use a wrench to turn out the axle with the remaining bolt/s
showing....

 

hey dagon do you have the trim ring that goes to the muffler, that hides the screws?
you said you were parting out a bike... ive somehow lost mine..
